python-jpype software package provides Binding the worlds of Java and Python, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install python-jpype
python-jpype is installed in your system.
Make ensure the python-jpype package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep python-jpype *
You will get with python-jpype package name, version, architecture and description in a table
